The concept behind this book involves 10 female writers bringing to life stories that stem from one male Dom. True collaborations. (Similar to a ‘Duets’ albums). Intentionally, a range of female authors were approached. Some are established and successful; while others were previously unpublished. Some had direct experience in the BDSM lifestyle, while others did not. All of this was intentional, to ensure a fresh, unique, range of stories. Each writer brought her flare, her style, and her talent to the project. The subtle connection linking the stories relates to the famous River Walk in San Antonio Texas.

Julie's contribution to this sexy anthology is titled HOSTAGE SITUATION:

Locked in the vault during a robbery gone wrong, a bank teller explores her boundaries with the sexy new security guard.

Fifteen years ago, Natalie Simmons reinvented herself with a single goal: to earn her father’s respect. The frivolous, attention-seeking college girl is now a workaholic lawyer on partnership track.
That is, until Sam Danmore shows up.

He’s all play.

He’s gorgeous, famous, arrogant as ever, and can still drench her panties with a look and a grin -- a fact which only reinforces how much she hates him. And wants him.

When an obsessed fan forces Sam into hiding, Natalie has to help him or risk getting caught up in the media frenzy, herself. But her unwanted, yet deepening attraction to him threatens the new life she has built... because Sam has spent the last fifteen years living up to his reputation, and Natalie is still trying to live hers down.

~Author Interview~

1. When did you decide to become a writer?

I've always been a writer, but it wasn't until 2003 that the writing bug started tugging my sleeve enough that I couldn't do my day job (at the time I was an executive recruiter).  I had written my first screenplay in 2002 and have written for film/TV ever since.  A few years ago, a very successful author friend suggested I write a novel, so I gave it a shot and really loved it!

2. Where do your ideas come from?

I usually start with an interesting character or situation and spin the story from there.

3. What is the hardest thing about writing?

Butt. In. Seat.

4. Do you read much and if so who are your favorite authors?

Not as much as I used to!  I miss it so much!!

5. What is your favorite motivational phrase?

I've got a lot of favorites, but this one features prominently in my book, OVER-EXPOSED:
"The privilege of a lifetime is to become who you truly are."  --Carl Jung

6. Where can you see yourself in 5 years time?

I'd love to have a book or two on the NYT list, and hope to have more of my film/TV work produced.

7. What advice would you give to aspiring writers?

I'll expand on something I just posted to my FB page today:

Writing is a craft. A cool story idea + a laptop doesn't make someone a writer, any more than a pretty view + paint and brushes makes me a painter. I can cover a canvas with beautiful colors and maybe you'd even recognize it as a landscape, but I wouldn't try to sell it to you because I know nothing of the craft.  Even if I set up an art studio in my house and buy all the best painting supplies, it's still just a hobby unless I take the time to learn the craft.

8. Do you think that  book covers play an important part in the buying process?

They do.  Humans are visual creatures.  Even the bookish ones.  :)

9. If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?

Scotland — been dying to get there ever since first reading OUTLANDER 17 years ago!

10. What can we look forward to from you next?

I’m working on LONG SHOT, the third book of my Perspectives series (Gabby’s story, for those who’ve read OVER-EXPOSED).
